Long Island Jobs with Justice’s Organizing Fellowship Program for Undocumented Students aims to support undocumented immigrant youth going to college on Long Island. The fellowship program  awards students with a $1,000 scholarship and provides leadership development and community organizing opportunities on immigrants’ rights.

Student Fellows:

> Serve as mentors to students struggling to attend college because of their immigration status
> Facilitate workshops with high school students on how to apply to college if they are undocumented
> Attend events and actions on immigration rights
> Learn how to organize campaigns, work with the media, and give presentations to the general public.

We invite undocumented students committed to social justice to apply for the program for the Fall 2015 semester. Contact Anita Halasz (ahalasz.lijwj@gmail.com // 631-348-1170 x 304) for more more information and an application.

The Fellowship Program awards are entirely funded by grassroots fundraising efforts and by generous donations and support from individuals.
