NYSNA Petition – Tell Mt. Sinai South Nassau to Do Right by Their Nurses!
Please take a moment and sign this petition! From our friends at NYSNA:
“Nurses at Mount Sinai South Nassau see every day what understaffing and lack of investment by the hospital mean for our patients and our communities.
Since Mount Sinai took over our community hospital, administrators have been focused on boosting executive pay and the revenues they send out of our community to the corporate Mount Sinai Health System, not on patients and the nurses who deliver quality care here on Long Island. According to tax filings, in 2025, the net of the revenue transfer out of South Nassau was about $57.6 million – more than three times the 2022 net of $18 million.
When hospitals fail to invest in nurses and safe staffing, patients feel it. These conditions can lead to high turnover, long wait times, and delays in care. Our community deserves better!
Mount Sinai South Nassau nurses have always put Long Island patients first. Sign the petition to demand Mount Sinai South Nassau deliver a fair contract that respects nurses and patients here on Long Island!”
Thank you for being a friend of LIJWJ, and we’re glad to be alongside you in the fight for workers’ rights!
In solidarity,
Long Island Jobs with Justice
