Vision/Mission
Long Island Jobs with Justice works in coalition with labor unions and worker centers, community organizations, faith-based organizations and individual social justice activists who are committed to protecting the rights of working people on Long Island and supporting community struggles to build a more just society. We are committed to creating living wage jobs, supporting worker organizing, demanding corporate accountability, and building an economy that works for us all.
Values
At Long Island Jobs with Justice we value people over profit and are committed to the fight against white supremacy, patriarchy, misogyny and racial capitalism. We understand that for us to have a multi-racial democracy and economy in which we all thrive we must both confront the system of racial capitalism through our campaigns and programs, and actively work to uproot the harmful intentions and impacts of white supremacy within our own organizations and the broader movement.
What We Do
LIJWJ centers and elevates the working people of Long Island through a mix of workplace, community, faith, and legislative based organizing.
Workers contribute the most to our economy, yet are always prioritized last. Our active campaigns to reverse this and build a just Long Island are:

-
-
- Union Solidarity & Workers’ Rights
- Combatting Wage Theft
